Oregon Medicaid exclusion list

Oregon keeps no separate Medicaid exclusion list that we know of, so screening against the federal lists (the OIG LEIE and SAM.gov) covers it. Check your state Medicaid provider agreement for any other list it names.

Oregon on the federal lists

Of the people on the OIG exclusion list (the LEIE copy of Nov 6, 2026), 902 had an Oregon address when they were excluded, 15 of them in the last 12 months. 70% were excluded on the mandatory grounds (convictions for program fraud, patient abuse or neglect, felony health care fraud or felony controlled-substance offences) and 24% after a health care licence was revoked, suspended or surrendered.

The most common professions among them: nurses and nurse aides (168), personal care providers (142) and health care aides (133).

SAM.gov lists 363 excluded individuals with an Oregon address, many of them the same people.

An OIG exclusion covers every federal health care program, in every state, so someone excluded elsewhere who moves to Oregon is still excluded here: check every hire against the federal lists, wherever they come from.

Neighboring states

Someone who has worked across the state line can be on that state's Medicaid list without being on Oregon's. If you hire from neighboring states, check their lists too:

Questions

Does Oregon keep its own Medicaid exclusion list?

Not that we know of. Oregon providers check the federal lists (the OIG LEIE and SAM.gov); check your Medicaid provider agreement for any other list it names.
